Plot  :  Alpha and Omega

Kate (Hayden Panettiere) and Humphrey (Justin Long) are two wolves from the same pack in Canada’s Jasper National Park, but on opposite ends of the social order. Kate, daughter of the main alpha male, is herself an Alpha and does what one should: taking her duty and commitment to the pack seriously. Humphrey, on the other hand, is an Omega wolf, the lowest of the pack, and spends his days making jokes and playing about with his other Omega friends. One day, Kate is arranged to mate with the Alpha male of a rival pack to preserve peace. However, both Kate and Humphrey are sedated and taken far away from home to the Sawtooth National Recreation Area in Idaho where they are expected to repopulate their species. Instead, the two wolves who should never find themselves socializing with each other embark on a journey together to return home and save their pack before relations between rival packs come to a boil. But there is a problem: along the journey, Kate and Humphrey have fallen in love.

How to Train Your Dragon movie, also known as How to Train Your Dragon 3D, is a computer-animated film by DreamWorks Animation, loosely based on the 2003 book of that same title. The film stars the voice talents of Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill,Gerard Butler, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Craig Ferguson. The How to Train Your Dragon movie is set in a mythical world of Vikings and dragons. The story centers around a viking teenager named Hiccup (Jay Baruchel), who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. The teen’s smarts and offbeat sense of humor is disliked by his tribe and its chief, Hiccup’s father, Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler). Review: Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is an upcoming 2009 American live-action/CGI and sequel to Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007) starring Jason Lee, David Cross, Cameron Richardson, Zachary Levi and the voices of Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Anna Faris, Christina Applegate and Amy Poehler.

Plot/Synopsis: In the “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel”, pop sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore end up in the care of Dave Seville’s twenty-something nephew Toby (Zachary Levi). The boys must put aside music superstardom to return to school, and are tasked with saving the school’s music program by winning the $25,000 prize in a battle of the bands. But the Chipmunks unexpectedly meet their match in three singing chipmunks known as “The Chipettes” – Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette. Romantic and musical sparks are ignited when the Chipmunks and Chipettes square off.

Review: In May 2003, Paramount Pictures, Davis Films, and Gaga Productions announced its joint venture to adapt the action-adventure game series into a $50 million live-action feature film. According to Paramount Pictures and Davis Films’ Samuel Hadida, “It’s samurai fighting against demons – it’s very close to this simple pitch. There’s also a love story woven in. It’s a big adventure movie with lots of special effects.” Hadida also proposed the possibility of a film franchise. In December 2006, director Christophe Gans said that he had Onimusha lined up to film.The film, budgeted at over $70 million, was to begin production in China in February 2008 for a December 2009 release. In a June article by movie site Ain’t It Cool News, it was revealed that Takeshi Kaneshiro will be in the movie, reprising his role as Samanosuke.

Plot/synopsis: The Onimusha film has been put on indefinite hold due to the death of Heath Ledger, which impacted on the schedule of producer Samuel Hadida, who was due to work with Ledger on the movie. Ledger was cast to play Roberto, the Spaniard from Dawn of Dreams. Because of his death, Hadida has yet to find a new actor and has put the movie on hiatus. Because of this, Hadida had to delay the filming of Onimusha, which has resulted in the film’s Japanese cast working on other film projects during the delay, and being unavailable to start filming Onimusha. These factors were enough that French director Christophe Gans will now direct an adaptation of Leo Perutz’s novel “The Swedish Cavalier” first, taking over the reigns from Gilles Mimouni. Satomi Ishihara and Tsuyoshi Ihara remain attached to the project.

Review: The Princess and the Frog is an upcoming 2009 American animated family feature film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, which is loosely based on E.D. Baker’s novel The Frog Princess and the Grimm brothers’ The Frog Prince. It will be the 49th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics and the first theatrically released 2D animated movie by Disney since 2004′s Home on the Range. It is being directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, directors of The Great Mouse Detective, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, and Treasure Planet, with songs and score composed by Randy Newman and with the voices of Anika Noni Rose (as Princess Tiana), Oprah Winfrey, Keith David, Jim Cummings, John Goodman, Jenifer Lewis, Bruno Campos, Michael-Leon Wooley, Peter Bartlett and Terrence Howard.

Plot/sypnosis: When the free-spirited, jazz-loving Prince Naveen of Maldonia comes to town a deal with a shady voodoo doctor goes bad and the once suave royal is turned into a frog. In a desperate attempt to be human again, a favor in exchange for a fateful kiss on the lips from the beautiful girl, Tiana, takes an unexpected turn and leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana to the banks of the almighty Mississippi and back in time for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. An unforgettable tale filled with music, humor and heart where two frogs—along with the help of a 200-year-old voodoo priestess, a love-sick Cajun firefly, and a trumpet-playing alligator—discover that what they want isn’t as important as what they need.

Review:  Fantastic Mr. Fox is a 2009 stop motion animated film based on Roald Dahl’s book of the same name. It was produced by Regency Enterprises and Indian Paintbrush, and premiered on October 14, 2009 at the London Film Festival. It went on general UK release on October 23, 2009, distributed by 20th Century Fox, and is scheduled for release in the US on November 13, 2009. It features the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, and Bill Murray. It is the first animated film directed by Wes Anderson, and 20th Century Fox’s first stop-motion animated film.

Plot/synopsis: Mr. and Mrs. Fox (George Clooney and Meryl Streep) live an idyllic home life with their son Ash (Jason Schwartzman) and visiting young nephew Kristofferson (Eric Anderson). But after 12 years, the bucolic existence proves too much for Mr Fox’s wild animal instincts. Soon he slips back into his old ways as a sneaky chicken thief and in doing so, endangers not only his beloved family, but the whole animal community. Trapped underground and with not enough food to go around, the animals band together to fight against the evil Farmers – Boggis, Bunce and Bean – who are determined to capture the audacious, fantastic Mr Fox at any cost.

Review: Planet 51 is an upcoming animated film directed by Jorge Blanco, written by Joe Stillman and starring Dwayne Johnson, Jessica Biel, Justin Long, Seann William Scott, Gary Oldman and John Cleese. Produced by Madrid-based Ilion Animation Studios and HandMade Films for $60 million, it was acquired for US distribution by New Line Cinema in November 2007. Planet 51 is slated to be released on November 20, 2009, by Sony Pictures Worldwide via TriStar Pictures. It was originally titled Planet One, but re-named Planet 51 in reference to Area 51.

Plot/synopsis: (1)The film follows a human astronaut, Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker (Dwayne Johnson) who lands on Planet 51 thinking he’s the first to set foot on it. However, he discovers it’s inhabited by little green people who live in a white picket-fenced world reminiscent of 1950s America. (2) The inhabitants of Planet 51 live in fear of alien invasion. Their paranoia is realized when an astronaut arrives from Earth. Befriended by a young resident, he has to avoid capture in order to recover his spaceship and try to return home.
