Review: Case 39 is an upcoming American/Canadian horror film directed by Christian Alvart and starring actress Renée Zellweger and young Canadian actress Jodelle Ferland. The film was shot in Vancouver in late 2006, and was scheduled to be released in August 2008, but it was pushed back to April 10, 2009, but now the film’s domestic release date is January 1, 2010. The film released in the UAE on November 5, 2009. It is scheduled to be distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film is rated R for violence and terror including disturbing images.

Plot/synopsis: A social worker rescues a young girl from abusive parents but begins to suspect the girl may not be so innocent after all.

“Case 39″ is a horror film starring Renée Zellweger as family services social worker Emily Jenkins. Emily thinks she has seen it all until she meets her newest, most mysterious case, troubled 10-year old Lilith Sullivan (Jodelle Ferland). Review: Invictus is an upcoming 2009 feature film based on Nelson Mandela’s life during the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa. Directed by Clint Eastwood, the film stars Morgan Freeman as the then South African President Mandela, and Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar, the South African team captain. The story is based on the John Carlin book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Changed a Nation. The film is due for release on December 11, 2009.

Plot/Synopsis: A look at Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) from the fall of apartheid. The story is about Mandela’s release from prison, his election as President of South Africa and his attempts to use the 1995 Rugby World Cup as a vehicle to bring his people together, after the fall of apartheid. Led by their captain Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon), the South African team wins the tournament, upsetting the favourites New Zealand 15–12 in the final.
